Members of the Pong family have been developers and operators of hospitality properties in the Seattle area for over 46 years. 

Since 1978, eighteen successful hotel projects have been built in the general Seattle area and two generations of the Pong family members are still working together to ensure these hotels are the best choices for travelers.

  • 1981 - developed & opened 121-unit Ramada Inn in Everett, WA

  • 1982 - developed & opened 48-unit Kings Motor Inn in Fife, WA

  • 1984 - developed & opened 58-unit Northwest Motor Inn in Puyallup, WA

  • 1990 - developed & opened 51-unit Days Inn in Everett, WA

  • 1991 - developed & opened 56-unit Homeport Motor Inn in Edmonds, WA

  • 1992 - developed & opened 86-unit Days Inn at SeaTac Int'l Airport, WA

  • 1994 - developed & opened 60-unit Days Inn at North Seattle, WA

  • 1996 - developed & opened 124-unit Hampton Inn at Seattle Center, WA

  • 1997 - developed & opened 74-unit Hawthorn Suites at Seattle Center, WA

  • 1998 - expanded and merged Hampton inn with Hawthorn Suites to become 198-unit Hampton Inn at Seattle Center

  • 1999 - developed & opened 158-unit Comfort Suites at Seattle Center, WA

  • 1999 - developed & opened 105-unit Sleep Inn at SeaTac Int'l Airport, WA

  • 2005 - developed & opened 253-unit Marriott Courtyard in Bellevue, WA

  • 2008 - developed & opened 146-unit Hampton Inn & Suites in Tacoma, WA

  • 2011 - opened 158-unit Four Points by Sheraton in Seattle, WA

  • 2012 - began design & permitting process for North Bend commercial site

  • 2013 - 2014 - design & construction began for the University District Marriott Residence Inn

  • Early 2014 - began design & permitting process for Bellevue Holiday Inn Express and StayBridge Suites

  • Late 2014 - design work commenced for MOD Studios U-District

  • Early 2015 - design work commenced for MOD Studios Seattle Center

  • Early 2016 - University District Marriott Residence Inn grand opening

We have recently rebranded our hospitality company into a single entity called Puget Sound Hospitality and we are one of the largest and fastest growing locally owned and managed hospitality companies within the Puget Sound Region. We are known for operating properties that are well maintained and above corporate standards, providing unmatched experience, expertise and capacity to meet clients’ needs by offering six nationally branded hotels including Marriott, Starwood, Hilton and IHG. Over the next five years we will be expanding our portfolio to include additional national brands as well as corporate housing.
